True story – International property market on Costa del Sol

Hi,

I just wanted to tell you about a phone call I got last week from one of my clients. I haven’t heard anything from him for a couple of years. I sold his house in Costa del Sol a few years ago an it was a funny sale. This client of mine is from Chile and in that deal he was obviously the vendor of the villa. I had a British colleague with whom I shared the sale. The buyers were from the Philippines. The villa was of course in Spain and thus there were Spanish lawyers working on the deal. The technician who made a survey on the house was German and I am Finnish. So we got all these nationalities involved on the same sale.

I have been asked several times that how many problems did we face until that sale was completed. It sounds like a catastrophic mix of nationalities from all over the world put together trying to find an agreement of all the details there is while selling a property in Costa del Sol.

And you know what? Everything went well. Everything went more than well and all the parties were happy with the result and we got no problems with anything whatsoever during the process.

And now let’s get back to the phone call I started with. This Chilean client called me and said he is thinking about selling his house again. And he wants me to sell it because “Everything went so well with you the last time”. These are The Moments when I thank myself for having such wonderful clients.
